Dr. Kenneth Hall established Drs. Hall & Chu Optometry in 1977. He received a Bachelor of Science degree and Doctor of Optometry degree at UC Berkeley. Dr. Hall has extensive knowledge on rigid gas permeable contacts, hard and soft bifocal and astigmatism contacts, and sports vision enhancement contacts. He is a member of the Contact Lens and Sports Vision Section of American Optometric Association. He was on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Optometric Society and is a current member. Dr Hall is also member of the UC Berkeley Alumni Association and Bear Backer.
Dr. Hall was born and raised in San Francisco. He resides in the East Bay with his wife and daughter. Dr. Hall enjoys tennis and is a big fan of the Cal Bears Football and Basketball teams.
After working as a file clerk for Drs. Hall and Chu throughout her years at Lowell High School, Dr. Cindy Szeto proudly joined the practice upon graduating from optometry school in 1997. She became a partner in 2006. She is an alum of UC Davis, where she earned her degree in Biological Science. She then completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at UC Berkeley. She trained extensively at VA hospitals in San Francisco and Livermore, as well as at a multispecialty ophthalmology practice in Baltimore, MD.
A San Francisco native who now resides in San Mateo, she enjoys travel, ballroom/hip hop dance, and Tivo. Dr. Szeto is married to a die-hard islander from Hawaii. Her kindergarten son and new baby daughter are her greatest joy.
Dr. Tram Vu completed her Bachelor of Science degree at UC Davis and received her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2003. Professional internships have included optometric care at VA Palo Alto, Western Regional Blind Center, Foothill Center for the Vision Impaired, Low Vision Clinic in Las Vegas, Eye Care Clinic in East LA, and Travis Air Force Base.
Dr. Vu enjoys practicing optometry six days a week. She has resided in the South Bay for over 25 years. Her hobbies include kickboxing, cycling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Maria Ha graduated Phi Beta Kappa from UC Berkeley with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. She completed her Doctor of Optometry training in 2001 at UC Berkeley with internships at Beijing Medical University, St. Louis LASIK and Cataract Center, and the Vision Source in Oklahoma. She practices primary care optometry, which includes prescribing contact lenses and glasses, treatment and detection of eye diseases, and co-management of LASIK and cataract surgeries.
Dr. Ha is a San Francisco native and remains active in the community. She is multilingual in Cantonese, Mandarin, and Vietnamese. She also enjoys travel, photography, and ballroom dancing.
Dr. Fazila Malik graduated from UC Davis and completed her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from UC Berkeley. She was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Society. She has trained at the VA hospitals in Miami, FL and Portland, OR as well as at OMNI Eye Services, a tertiary ophthalmology practice in New Jersey. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and The California Optometric Society; she is certified to treat glaucoma and a variety of other eye medical conditions.
Dr. Malik grew up in the Peninsula and currently resides in San Francisco with her husband. She enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and exploring the city with her friends and family.
